Rolvenden Pre-School - a vision that values each child as an individual...

A Bright Ethos and a Hopeful Vision

Asking the question "what is it like for a child here today?" sets us on a course from which to perceive the educational and personal needs of a child, but from their perspective.

At the heart of our vision is the unshakeable premise that each child must be treated as an equal and as an individual.

When you add the fact that we believe children learn through a combined approach of play, social interaction and good example, we think that Rolvenden Pre-School will stimulate your child at all levels as they grow and develop towards statutory education.

Through our warm and friendly learning environment, we are committed to work in accordance to Ofsted guidelines and within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which is divided into these areas of learning:

Prime Areas

  1. Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  2. Communication and Language
  3. Physical Development

Specific Areas

  1. Literacy
  2. Mathematics
  3. Understanding the World
  4. Expressive Arts and Design

As a result of this commitment, and our novel "child's eye" perspective, we are confident our provision of learning, play, fun, sharing and social interaction should enable every child to work towards achieving requirements set out in Ofstedā€™s guidelines, namely:

  • A strong and confident child
  • A skilful communicator
  • A competent and happy learner
  • A healthy child

These requirements, appropriate to the specific stage each child has reached, will allow them to proceed to statutory school education having been best equipped and enabled for their future educational experience. By monitoring each child's well being and involvement on a regular basis, we are able to constantly tailor our offering to your child's needs.
